                                    SPEECH-LANGUAGE PATHOLOGISTS

 

Alliance of Therapy Specialists, Inc. (ATS) specializes in providing home-based therapy services 

(pediatric focus, although we serve an adult population, as well).  We have been the preeminent outpatient 

pediatric multidisciplinary provider in Metropolitan Denver since 1998

 

We are seeking full and part-time experienced, dedicated, and caring Speech-Language Pathologists to 

provide home-based therapy services to children 0-19 (Some adult population, as well).

QUALIFICATIONS:

·        Knowledge of social skills training and speech-language therapy for developmental delays or disorders 
      including voice, fluency, expressive and receptive language and articulation disorders.

·        Oral motor and feeding therapies

·        Assessment, training, and programming for augmentative communication disorders

·        Functional activity planning

·        Skilled in establishing and maintaining effective relationships with children & parents of children with 

      disabilities or special needs

·        Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with peers.

·        Knowledge of developmental screening and assessment tools and procedures 

·        Completion of Evaluation Reports, Daily progress reports and therapy notes, and other required documentation

·        Consultations with parents, physicians, and referring agency personnel

·        AEPS completion

·        Attendance at required meetings

·        Contributions to the multidisciplinary team to locate, identify, and provide therapy services to children 

      with developmental delays or disabilities.

 

REQUIREMENTS:

You must have a Master’s degree and ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competency (CCCs) 

Pediatric experience.       **We accept a limited number of Clinical Fellows each year**

                              Speech Language Pathologist  (CCC - SLP)

                                        Part-Time Position (20 - 30 Hours per week)

            We are an acute care facility providing care and therapy services for medically complex patients.

            Our speech therapist must be a specialist in human communications, including normal development 

                                    and deficits in communication.

            Thorough knowledge and training in the anatomy and physiology of a normal swallow, 

                                    as well as dysphagia, is also required.

            Work responsibilities include evaluation and treatment of physician referrals for patients with disorders, 

                                    or suspected disorders, of speech, language, cognition or swallowing.

            This individual must work as a member of a transdisciplinary team with other professionals 

                                    to provide optimum patient care.

            They must have the expertise and communication skills necessary to provide education, relative to speech 

                         and associated disorders, through in-services in the community when necessary.

  Qualifications:

        Masters degree in Speech Language Pathology or Communications Disorders required.

        Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) and BCLS certification required.

        ACLS certification preferred.

        Minimum of one year of experience in hospital setting required.

        Experience with dysphagia patients preferred.
